AL DIYAFAH HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI
About Company
Diyafah Schools in the UAE continue a strong educational tradition that began more than 40 years ago with Al Diyafah High School in Dubai.
Al Diyafah High School, Dubai
Al Diyafah High School was founded in 1982 by the late Mrs. Winnie D’Cunha. The school began as a small nursery with only two children in a villa on Al Diyafah Street in Dubai. As the number of students increased, the school moved to a larger campus in 2001, where it continues to operate today.
Over the years, the Diyafah name has become known for providing high-quality and well-rounded education. The school combines strong academics with learning across many different disciplines. Today, Al Diyafah High School has more than 1900 students from many nationalities who learn and grow together in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Diyafah International School, Abu Dhabi
Diyafah International School was established in 2013 and is located in Mohammed Bin Zayed City on Abu Dhabi Island. Since its founding, the school has earned a strong reputation among private schools in the emirate for offering high-quality and affordable education.
The school focuses not only on academic excellence but also on building a strong and supportive community. Teachers and parents work closely together to create an environment based on respect, empathy, and cooperation. Diyafah provides a wide range of academic programs and has helped many students achieve high school qualifications that allow them to continue their studies at universities around the world.
Our Commitment to Students
The school’s mission, “Let Your Light Shine,” reflects Mrs. D’Cunha’s vision of nurturing students who are confident, compassionate, and capable. Our goal is to help students grow through a balanced and holistic education.
Our curriculum encourages students to understand the key ideas in their subjects while also learning how to apply this knowledge in real-life situations. In addition to classroom learning, the school places great importance on extracurricular activities such as sports, performing arts, and other group activities. These experiences help students build leadership skills, teamwork, confidence, and healthy competition.
Students are also encouraged to take part in activities that strengthen their academic understanding. These include programs such as Model United Nations, debating, and STEM-related activities like robotics and mathematics competitions.
In Sixth Form, students can choose between two different learning paths. They may follow the Advanced Level (A Level) academic route or study for the BTEC Diploma, which focuses on vocational learning. Both options provide valuable subject knowledge and internationally recognized qualifications.
The British Curriculum followed by our schools focuses on developing well-rounded individuals. It encourages participation in activities such as sports, performing arts, and academic competitions. Students are also introduced to modern learning opportunities including robotics, e-sports, and other STEM activities.
This balanced approach to education has helped many Diyafah graduates gain admission to leading universities in countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Australia, and other parts of the world.
