About Company
Established in 2016, ENEC Operations is a subsidiary of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). It is responsible for operating and maintaining Units 1–4 of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi.
ENEC Operations is a multinational company focused on building a skilled nuclear energy workforce in the UAE, with a special emphasis on developing UAE Nationals. The company ensures the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and performance in running the Barakah Plant.
By harnessing nuclear energy, ENEC Operations provides safe, reliable, and low-carbon electricity, supporting the UAE’s social and economic growth and improving quality of life for future generations.
Safety is the top priority, and all operations follow local regulations and international nuclear standards. The Barakah Plant produces around 40 TWh of clean electricity annually from its four units.
