Gulf Model School is a well-known higher secondary school in Dubai. It was established in 1982 and has been providing quality education for more than three decades. The school offers education from Kindergarten to Grade 12. In the higher grades, students can choose Science or Commerce streams. The school follows both the CBSE and Kerala State curricula separately.
The school has more than 2600 students from different nationalities, mainly from various states of India and other Asian countries. This diverse environment helps students learn and grow together while respecting different cultures and backgrounds.
Gulf Model School maintains strong academic performance in public examinations and internal assessments. The school focuses on building a strong academic foundation for every student. Along with regular studies, the school encourages activities that help students develop important life values and skills.
Teachers use effective teaching methods and adapt the curriculum based on the needs of both groups and individual students. I’m Shafi Musa Al-Tawalbah Supervisor and curriculum expert in the Jordanian Ministry of Education previously and held a PhD in history.
Building on my degree in modern history, coupled with my 16-year teaching experience, I have been provided with an in-depth understanding of the subject and the ability to effectively communicate complex historical concepts to diverse audiences. I have successfully designed and delivered courses on modern history, Islamic history and related topics, and received positive feedback from both students and colleagues.
Furthermore, my 12 years of management experience in curriculum management and textbooks has sharpened my organizational, leadership and project management skills and I have been responsible for developing and reviewing curricula and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of academic excellence and are aligned with the evolving educational landscape. This experience has given me a comprehensive perspective on the implementation and evaluation of school curricula, as well as the ability to work in collaboration with stakeholders.
Master’s degree in Islamic history and Bachelor’s degree in History and Archaeology provide me with a strong basis in historical research, analysis and critical thinking. These qualifications, coupled with my higher diploma in information technology, allowed me to integrate digital tools and methodologies into historical research and preservation.
Throughout my career, I have shown a commitment to creating a dynamic educational environment, promoting multidisciplinary approaches, and involving students in critical discussions. It is dedicated to using innovative teaching methodologies, integrating technology to improve learning outcomes, encouraging students to think critically and develop their analytical skills.
In addition to my academic and educational qualifications, I have excellent communication skills, which have been further improved through interaction with students and colleagues and working in a team, which enhances working in a positive environment, adapting to new challenges.
Given my vast background in modern history, educational experience, management experience and passion for educational development, I am confident that my skills and qualifications make me well equipped for this particular role. I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute my knowledge and experience in the field of education and the updating of textbooks.
