About Us
Islamiya English School (IES) was established in 1978 as a private, non-profit educational institution. The school is managed by a board of directors, led by Mrs. Khadija Darwish Alqubaisi. The academic administration includes the Principal, a Deputy Director, four Department Heads, and a dedicated team of highly qualified teachers, all recognized by the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi.
IES is licensed under the UAE’s economic sector (License No. CN-1000988) and educational sector (License No. 64-9109), operating as Islamiya English School L.L.C. We have built a strong, skilled faculty capable of offering excellent academic support, helping students discover their strengths, and preparing them for the future. Our teachers are trained not only to educate but also to guide students in personal development, leadership, and growth, using the latest educational tools available.

Our Legacy
Islamiya English School was founded by the late Darwish Bin Karam Abdulla Alqubaisi, who had a vision of creating a school in Abu Dhabi that offered quality education at an affordable price. After his passing, his family took over the school to continue his legacy, ensuring that his vision for accessible education lived on.
Today, Mrs. Khadija Darwish Alqubaisi chairs the school’s board and is one of the school’s owners. The administration team, including the Principal, Deputy Director, and Department Heads, is made up of experienced and qualified professionals who were selected for their expertise and dedication to education.
