About Company
After many successful years at Club Med, co-founded by the Trigano family, Serge Trigano started Mama Shelter in 2008 with his sons, Jérémie and Benjamin. From the very beginning, their goal was to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere with excellent service, all at an affordable price. They chose locations they loved, in neighborhoods with character and stories to tell.
By focusing on these unique spots, the founders were able to bring their vision to life: hotels that are unusual, lively, and full of personality. Mama Shelter is more than just hotels and restaurants—it’s about energy, vibrancy, and creating urban spaces that feel welcoming, modern, and full of life.
The first Mama Shelter opened in Paris East, followed by locations in Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Prague, Belgrade, Toulouse, Lille, London, Paris West, Luxembourg, Rome, Lisbon, Paris La Défense, and Rennes. Plans are underway for new hotels in Dijon, Dubai, and more cities.
In 2014, Mama Shelter teamed up with the international hotel group Accor to bring their unique concept to travelers worldwide. Today, Mama Shelter is part of Ennismore, a creative hotel group focused on culture and destinations, which became a joint venture with Accor in 2021.
