National Reference Laboratory (NRL)

National Reference Laboratory (NRL) is part of Mubadala Health’s integrated network of leading healthcare providers. NRL works to improve laboratory testing across the UAE by expanding services, increasing coverage, and making testing more efficient.

The laboratory follows internationally recognized practices and high-quality standards, with the goal of setting strong benchmarks for laboratory services in the UAE and the wider region.

With extensive experience in pathology and laboratory medicine, NRL provides a wide range of diagnostic tests designed to meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers in the UAE and surrounding markets. Around 98% of its tests are performed within its own facilities, allowing NRL to provide a complete and efficient testing service while helping reduce turnaround times and logistics costs.

NRL operates one of the largest CAP-accredited laboratory networks in the Middle East. Its network includes three laboratories—one in Abu Dhabi and two in Dubai. NRL also manages laboratory services for several Mubadala Health partners, including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, and Healthpoint.

In addition, NRL provides complete laboratory management services for several major private hospitals across the UAE.
