About The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys
The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys (SZPAB) is one of the leading and most respected schools in Abu Dhabi. Located in the center of the city, the school opened in 2015 and continues the legacy of The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls, which was established in 2000 following the vision of the late H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Most of the students at SZPAB are Emirati, and many families choose the school because of its strong focus on preserving UAE culture and traditions while preparing students for the future. The school’s guiding message, “Honoring the past. Educating for the future.”, is reflected in everyday learning and school life.
SZPAB follows a blended curriculum that combines the American Massachusetts State Common Core Curriculum with the UAE Ministry of Education Curriculum. Students also study programs such as UAE Social Studies and My Identity, helping them stay connected to their national identity and values.
One of the school’s most unique programs is the Eyal Zayed Program, developed in partnership with the UAE Armed Forces. This program helps students build leadership skills, discipline, teamwork, loyalty, and a sense of responsibility and service to their community and country.
The school is internationally accredited by CIS and NEASC and is approved by the College Board to offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses. SZPAB has also received an “Outstanding” rating in the ADEK Irtiqaa inspection program and was recognized as an “Outstanding School” for National Identity in the 2022–2023 academic year.
At SZPAB, students are encouraged to achieve academic excellence, develop strong character, and become confident future leaders while staying connected to their heritage and values.
