We are Hiring: Accountant

Key Responsibilities
1) Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring proper documentation, filing, and audit readiness in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
2) Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), invoicing, subcontractor payments, and general ledger postings
3) Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and amortization using QuickBooks or similar ERP systems
4) Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
5) Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including complete financial statements and supporting schedules (fixed assets, accruals, AR/AP aging, WIP, etc.)
6) Monitor cash flow, update cash flow forecasts, and support financial planning activities
7) Handle payroll-related accounting, including accruals, payroll reviews, and funding coordination across entities
8) Review and validate expenses, petty cash, payroll reports, and payment schedules to ensure accuracy and cost control
9) Process and review sales invoices, supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and related financial documentation
10) Monitor and manage cash float balances across locations/entities
11) Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure proper recording and reconciliation
12) Ensure compliance with UAE VAT/GST regulations and support tax filing processes
13) Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and financial schedules
14) Coordinate with banks and manage related financial transactions and communications
15) Prepare project-wise financial tracking reports, including inflows and outflows
16) Review and approve purchase orders and payment vouchers in line with internal controls
17) Support management reporting, including preparation of financial analysis and executive-level presentations
18) Perform ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as required by Finance or Management

Requirements
1) Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2) Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting functions.
3) Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
4) Good understanding of journal entries and accounting principles.
5) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
6) Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7) Good organizational and communication skills.
8) Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
1) Prior experience in a corporate or consultancy environment.
2) Knowledge of UAE and Singapore accounting practices and regulations.
3) Experience handling full set of accounts is an advantage.
