Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Al Ain. The Accountant will handle daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, monitoring receivables and payables, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The role will help prepare financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards. The Accountant will also coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, assist with audits, and help improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping capabilities, including general ledger management, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to analyze data and provide clear insights.
  • Experience using accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, pivot tables, and basic financial models).
  • Sound understanding of relevant accounting principles, standards, and basic tax and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in accounting within healthcare, retail, or facilities management environments is preferred.
