Job Description

  • Maintain all accounting and financial records related to the project’s AP and payments.
  • Ensure adequate classification of all project costs based on the standard codes
  • To make sure all Accounts Payable, CAPEX, Cost (WIP) are recorded in the accounting system and paid on time.
  • Preparing various reports (Al Metlaa project liability report, PO register, payment register and ad hoc reports as required)
  • Managing the project payments from loans in coordination with the Treasury Manager
  • Maintain the contracts register
  • Maintain the POs register
  • Manage the Escrow accounts financial statements and the annual external audit in respect to projects AP and payments
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation
  • Preparation of monthly ADPIC reporting pack
  • Handling quarterly reconciliations with ADPIC

Responsibilities

  • Ensure completeness of the payment checklist (incl. the 3-way matching process) before payment processing and all RFPs are properly supported and approved
  • Receiving and booking of payable invoices in the accounting system are done on time with the correct accounts codes (journal, ledgers, etc.) at least two weeks prior to payment date.   • Ensuring all payment are made accurately and on time and ensure that funds are available before releasing the payment
  • Ensure completeness of liabilities and month close of AP
  • Prepare the monthly reconciliation of advance payment, retention payable with PPCs and contracts
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation to project is done monthly in the SAP
  • Prepare monthly supplier advance payment reconciliation (with PPCs / Contracts)
  • Preparation of monthly cash requirement forecast and project payment report
  • Preparation and submission of reporting pack to ADPIC on 2nd of every month
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Handling quarterly reconciliation with ADPIC
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, banks, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Update of monthly Contract and P.O. register and issue monthly liabilities report
  • Prepare quarterly project related vendor reconciliation
  • Support month-end and year-end close process and booking of accruals
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Adhere to office working hours, attire and ethics

Qualifications And Experience

Educational Requirements / Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar

Experience Required

  • 3+ years’ experience in general accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS
  • Hands-on experience with SAP accounting software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
