Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman – UAE, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in to join Department of Audiology and Speech Language in College of Health Sciences.

Role & Responsibilities

Education Track faculty with major roles in teaching and educational scholarship and to research or scholarly activities, engaging comprehensively in the following domains:

  • Teaching & Learning: Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, practical classes, and clinical tutorials in Medical Imaging.
  • Student Assessment: Design and implement fair, transparent, and outcome-aligned assessment methods.
  • Curriculum Design: Develop and update curricula, syllabi, and learning materials that reflect global best practices.
  • Faculty Development: Actively participate in professional growth and uphold Faculty Professional Ethics.
  • Organizational & Curriculum Management: Serve on committees, coordinate academic activities, and provide Academic Advising to students.
  • Quality Assurance & Accreditation: Contribute to program evaluation, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Community engagement: Collaborate with healthcare providers, medical centres, and public health organizations to support community-based projects, awareness programs, and initiatives that promote health and well-being.

Additional contributions include:

  • Supervising students in research and clinical placements.
  • Publishing and presenting scholarly work in education and Audiology and Speech language pathology.
  • Collaborating with healthcare institutions, policymakers, and community organizations.
  • Promoting Academic Ethics, Responsibilities, and Academic Honesty in all aspects of academic work.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Audiology and Speech Language
  • Evidence of continuous, high-quality teaching experience
  • Active research profile with international publications
  • Preference for candidates with recognized clinical expertise, fellowships, or specialized certifications.
