On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in Spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is looking for a skilled Assistant Director – Learning & Development to join our Learning & Development team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Translate the Executive Director’s learning strategy into clear execution roadmaps, annual plans, and measurable priorities.
- Oversee the four core L&D pillars: Wynn Culture & Brand Onboarding, Compliance & Regulatory Training, Forbes Five-Star Standards & Guest Experience, and Talent & Leadership Development.
- Ensure all learning initiatives align with Wynn’s brand promise, luxury service standards, and operational goals.
- Support large-scale pre-opening and hiring waves with structured learning deployment plans.
- Lead and coordinate L&D Managers to ensure consistent delivery standards, governance, and program quality across all learning offerings.
- Ensure training content, facilitation standards, and learning systems reflect Wynn’s luxury positioning and service excellence expectations.
- Monitor program effectiveness through LMS data, operational feedback, and performance indicators.
- Maintain full compliance with regulatory, gaming, and audit requirements while proactively identifying risks, capability gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and develop L&D Managers by building accountability, fostering high performance, and strengthening succession depth, setting clear expectations and performance objectives aligned with Wynn’s leadership standards and cultural principles.
- Promote collaboration across all learning pillars to ensure an integrated guest experience and organizational cultural consistency.
- Support talent identification and succession planning within the L&D team.
- Serve as a senior L&D partner to operational leaders, support services leaders and People & Culture, ensuring alignment between learning initiatives and business performance goals.
- Represent Learning & Development in cross-functional committees and enterprise initiatives on behalf of the Executive Director, when necessary.
- Support Executive Committee reporting through structured dashboards, insights, and performance analysis.
- Partner with the Executive Director to optimize the LMS and broader digital learning ecosystem.
- Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and actionable analytics within learning systems.
- Support the rollout of innovative learning formats, including blended, digital, and experiential solutions.
- Champion Wynn’s culture, service rituals, and Five-Star guest experience behaviors across all learning touchpoints.
- Ensure onboarding and cultural immersion experiences are emotionally engaging, brand-consistent, and reflective of Wynn’s luxury standards.
- Reinforce professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in alignment with Wynn brand expectations.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Human Resources, Education, or a related field
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, ideally within large-scale hospitality operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a senior leadership capacity, preferably within luxury hospitality, gaming, or integrated resort environments.
- Proven experience leading multi-team learning functions or complex portfolios.
- Exposure to regulatory training environments and audit frameworks.
- Experience with digital learning transformation and LMS governance.
- Exposure to Forbes Five-Star service training environments strongly preferred.
