Job Summary:

The College of Media and Public Relations at Liwa University is inviting applicants for positions of Assistant Professor in Communication (specialization in Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication). The successful candidate is expected to start in Fall 2027.

Selected candidates will teach both theoretical and practical courses. The candidate must be highly motivated to achieve the mission of the College of Media and Public Relations in the areas of teaching, research, and community/professional service. The language of instruction in the college is Arabic.

The successful candidates will:

  • Participate in teaching theoretical and practical courses in Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication.
  • Teach other communication courses as per college needs.
  • Provide academic advising to students.
  • Perform college, community, and professional service.
  • Assist in the continued development and promotion of the program.

Competencies:

The successful candidate must possess a notable track record of teaching and scholarship in internationally recognized and peer-reviewed publications, especially in Scopus-indexed journals or Arcif-indexed Arabic journals, in addition to other forms of scholarship. The ability to use Artificial Intelligence applications in teaching is required. In addition, proficiency in digital media tools and social media management is desirable.

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications include:

  • A Ph.D. holder in Communication with a specialization in Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
  • A minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Public Relations and Institutional and Government Communication in an institution of higher learning.
  • A minimum of one-year professional experience in Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication.
