Cath Lab Staff Nurse

Job Description

Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and other interventional procedures.

Prepare the Cath Lab suite, ensuring all equipment and instruments are ready and functioning properly.

Monitor patients’ vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures.

Administer medications and sedation as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Provide pre-procedure education and post-procedure care instructions to patients and families.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures, medications, and nursing care.

Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and sterile technique standards.

Participate in emergency cardiac care, including Code Blue situations when required.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.

Valid nursing license/registration with [insert relevant authority – e.g., DOH, DHA, MOH].

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Cath Lab, ICU, or Cardiac Care Unit.

BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.

Excellent clinical and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-acuity environment.Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a tertiary care or cardiac specialty hospital.

Certification in Critical Care or Cardiac Nursing.

Bilingual (Arabic and English) skills are an advantage
