Airfield and Civils Maintenance Engineer
We are looking for a proactive Airfield and Civils Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day management of civil infrastructure assets across multiple sites. This role focuses on coordinating service providers, maintaining asset performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards within a critical, high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor contractors to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed standards
- Carry out inspections of civil assets including pavements, roads, and structures, ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Support the planning and execution of maintenance activities to minimize operational disruption
- Review technical documents, specifications, and maintenance plans
- Monitor asset performance and report on technical and safety compliance
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Ensure all changes to scope, specifications, and drawings are properly documented
- Support asset lifecycle activities from mobilization through to decommissioning
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Escalate issues and risks where required
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in facilities management, infrastructure, or aviation environments
- Experience managing contractors and service delivery in complex environments
Knowledge And Skills
- Strong understanding of civil maintenance and asset management
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (aviation knowledge is an advantage)
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- UAE driving license
