Design & Technology Teacher – GCSE & A Level
An established British curriculum school in Dubai is seeking a Design & Technology Teacher to join its Secondary and Sixth Form team.
We are looking for a specialist teacher who can bring together design thinking, creativity, practical making and technology, while preparing students confidently for GCSE and A Level Design & Technology.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Teach Design & Technology at GCSE and A Level
- Deliver engaging, practical and project-based learning
- Support students through design development, modelling, prototyping, testing and evaluation
- Prepare students for examinations and coursework/NEA
- Integrate CAD/CAM and digital design technologies into learning
- Maintain high standards of safety within practical/workshop environments
- Monitor student progress and contribute to the development of D&T across the school
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, Industrial Design, Engineering or a directly relevant discipline
- Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, B.Ed., QTS or equivalent
- Experience teaching D&T within a British curriculum or comparable examination-based curriculum
- Strong understanding of GCSE Design & Technology
- Practical experience with materials, prototyping and design processes
- Competence with relevant CAD/CAM or digital design software
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Experience teaching A Level D&T/Product Design, managing NEA/coursework, or working with 3D CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting or digital manufacturing would be an advantage.
Qualifications and experience must meet applicable UAE/KHDA requirements for teacher appointment and approval.
