Position Overview
We are welcoming expressions of interest from outstanding Early Years Teachers interested in joining GEMS International School – Dubai Hills from August 2027.
We welcome experienced IB educators as well as outstanding teachers from British and other international curricula who are passionate about inquiry-led learning and inspiring confident, curious learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and global awareness.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel challenged, supported and empowered.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the curriculum and share best practice.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, enrichment opportunities and professional learning.

Skills Description
Successful Candidate
- A recognised teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent, with appropriate Early Years teaching credentials.
- A minimum of three years’ successful experience teaching within the Early Years phase, ideally including the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), although IB experience is preferred rather than essential.
- A strong understanding of effective Early Years pedagogy and child-centred learning.
- Experience or confidence in delivering inquiry-based, concept-driven learning.
- A passion for inspiring curiosity and developing confident, independent and globally minded learners.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
