Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons in line with the curriculum guidelines.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Evaluate and monitor students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate their progress to parents and guardians.
- Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage student behaviour effectively, following school policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best teaching practices and educational trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and insights.
- Identify and support students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education, Social Studies, History, Geography, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or license in Social Studies.
- Proven experience in teaching Social Studies at the relevant grade level.
- Strong understanding of Social Studies curriculum standards and frameworks.
