As Group Accounting Manager / Group Chief Accountant, you will be based in our Dubai head office and closely collaborate with the Group Finance Director. You will play a key role in overseeing group-level accounting operations, consolidations, audits, tax coordination, compliance, and financial governance across multiple African jurisdictions.
This is a high-visibility role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across multiple entities, auditors, and stakeholders within a fast-paced international environment.
Job Requirements

  • Strong experience in group accounting, consolidations, audit management, and financial reporting within a multi-country environment.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS, statutory compliance, tax coordination, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing audits and working directly with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA preferred.
  • Experience working across Africa and multicultural environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on and detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high ownership and accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end group accounting activities across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Set up new entities in line with group standards and local compliance.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in line with IFRS, OHADA, and local GAAP requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits across African entities and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Work closely with local finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting submissions.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper balance sheet governance across the group.
  • Coordinate tax compliance matters across multiple African jurisdictions alongside local advisors and finance teams.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of accounting policies, controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Monitor statutory compliance requirements and ensure adherence to local regulations.
  • Partner closely with the Group Finance Director on strategic finance initiatives, governance, and process improvements.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, ERP/system enhancements, and reporting automation projects.
  • Assist in managing banking, treasury, and cash flow reporting requirements at group level.
