Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of English Social Studies (SS HoD) and Teacher to join our leadership team at SAIS in Sharjah Branch. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with strong leadership skills and a commitment to promoting high-quality teaching and inspiring students through history, geography, civics, and global studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of the Social Studies curriculum in alignment with American educational standards
  • Supervise and support Social Studies teachers across all grade levels
  • Promote critical thinking, research, and inquiry-based learning in the classroom
  • Monitor and assess academic performance and department effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Social Studies, Education, or a related field
  • Teaching Diploma is a MUST
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordinator role
  • Native-level English fluency (English native speakers only)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
