About the Role:
SAIS is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Science Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in physics, Chemistry or Biology, fostering a positive learning environment, and preparing students for both academic and real-world success. This position requires a passion for science education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student growth and achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging science lesson plans that meet American curriculum standards.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student performance through exams, reports, and other evaluation methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during experiments.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
- Collaborate with other science department members to align curriculum and share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in school-related activities, such as parent-teacher conferences, extracurricular clubs, and school events.
