Overview

Al Ain American School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusion Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will support students with diverse learning needs by delivering individualized and small group instruction, collaborating closely with classroom teachers, and implementing inclusive strategies to promote student success.


This role involves developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring student progress, and fostering a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that enables all students to reach their full potential.
 

Job Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in special education
•    Valid and certified UAE teaching license 
•    A minimum of 3 years of experience as SEN Teacher.
•    IELTS score of 6 or above for non-native English speakers.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, pedagogical practice, and interpersonal skills to engage students and foster a love of learning.
•    Plan lessons that take full account of students’ individual learning needs, learning styles, preferences, and abilities.
•    Deliver a range of learning opportunities and activities that enrich and enhance the taught curriculum.
•    Engage and motivate students to achieve outcomes beyond their expectations and previous attainment levels.
•    Make effective use of ICT and emerging technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across all age groups and ability levels.
•    Observe, assess, and accurately record students’ progress in line with school policies and procedures.
•    Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff during all school activities.
•    Work collaboratively with colleagues to establish and maintain fair, consistent, and positive behavior management across classrooms, the wider school, and school trips.
•    Communicate openly, professionally, and regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and attainment.
•    Maintain high levels of confidentiality when communicating with parents and external stakeholders.
•    Contribute to and support after-school activities, events, and school initiatives as required.
