Cost Control Engineer | High Rise Building
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor, analyze, and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
· Prepare and maintain project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports.
· Track actual costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
· Review subcontractor payments, purchase orders, invoices, and material costs.
· Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
· Support change order evaluations and assess financial impacts of project variations.
· Prepare monthly cost performance reports and management dashboards.
· Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project timelines.
· Ensure compliance with company financial policies and project contractual requirements.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Controller in high-rise building construction projects.
· Strong understanding of construction costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
· Experience with BOQs, progress billing, subcontractor management, and project cost tracking.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction ERP systems.
· Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple project priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use high-rise developments.
