Assistant Manager, Chief of Staff Office
Job Purpose
• Play a pivotal role in governance objectives, helping to maintain regulatory compliance, enhance risk management practices, and ensure adherence to bank policies.
• Oversee critical projects, manage stakeholder engagement, and streamline communication between bank functions and CIBG segments, ensuring alignment with CIBG’s strategic goals, whilst fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical governance
Key Results Areas
• Monitoring of Portfolio hygiene within CIBG and handle Business / sanctions exits
• Conduct thorough analyses on identified problem areas and condense information to
enable strategic decision making
• Develop impactful executive presentations summarizing strategic analyses and identified strategies
• Point of contact and interface with Internal and External Audit and central Bank submissions including preliminary phase, scope and post audit closure for all hazards raised for all segments.
• Successfully deliver on all relevant regulatory, supervisory, and internal audit inspections
• Assist in analyzing, reviewing and monitoring the data quality for Corporate Clients including submissions of critical data for Monthly Business objectives and risk management committees
• Act as the interface between CIBG and the various technology stakeholders, influencing the successful delivery and adoption of strategic digital project objectives against agreed budgets.
• Act as the interface between CIBG Business and Operations, Compliance, CXCG, Risk and Credit
• Act as a coordinator for Operational Risk Management framework, collaboration with digital squads of WDS
Knowledge Skills and Experience
• Strong and broad business and commercial acumen
• Deep and broad understanding of banking and financial services industry
• Knowledge of transactional and entity wide risk management
• 3+ years of proven banking experience
• Excellent attitude and a team player.
• Ability to work long hours in a high-pressure environment.
