Performance Marketing Executive

Role Overview

DXB Perfume is looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven Performance Marketing Executive to support the management and optimisation of our paid digital marketing activity.

The role will work closely with our external performance marketing agency and internal marketing and e-commerce teams.

The successful candidate will act as an internal owner of performance marketing, ensuring that agency activity is aligned with DXB Perfume’s commercial objectives, budgets and growth targets.

This is not a reporting-only role.

We are looking for someone who can analyse performance, identify problems, challenge recommendations, suggest tests and independently identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Media Management

  • Support the management of paid media campaigns across Meta, Google and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor campaign performance on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Review campaign structure, targeting, creative and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Support the testing of audiences, creative, messaging and offers.
  • Monitor performance across markets and product categories.

Agency Management

  • Act as an internal point of contact for the performance marketing agency.
  • Provide clear campaign and business briefs.
  • Review agency recommendations and performance reports.
  • Challenge recommendations where the data does not support them.
  • Ensure agreed actions are implemented.
  • Track agency deliverables and deadlines.
  • Identify gaps in agency performance.
  • Ensure the agency remains aligned with business priorities.

Budget Management

  • Monitor paid media spend against approved budgets.
  • Track daily, weekly and monthly spend.
  • Identify overspending or underutilisation.
  • Assess the return generated from marketing spend.
  • Recommend budget reallocations based on performance.
  • Support forecasting and budget planning.

Performance Analysis

Monitor and analyse:

  • Revenue.
  • ROAS.
  • CAC/CPA.
  • Conversion rate.
  • CTR.
  • CPC.
  • CPM.
  • Traffic.
  • Average order value.
  • New customer acquisition.
  • Product and campaign performance.

Go beyond reporting numbers by identifying:

  • What changed?
  • Why did it change?
  • What is working?
  • What isn’t working?
  • What should we do next?

Testing & Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities for structured testing.
  • Recommend new creative concepts.
  • Test audiences and campaign approaches.
  • Analyse test results.
  • Identify winning creative.
  • Feed performance insights back to the Social, Influencer, Design and E-commerce teams.
  • Recommend scaling opportunities.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the E-commerce Marketing Manager.
  • Share insights with Social and Influencer teams.
  • Identify creative opportunities based on paid performance.
  • Support product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure paid activity reflects the wider marketing strategy.

Commercial & Ownership Expectations

The successful candidate must be comfortable taking ownership of performance.

You should not simply report:

“ROAS decreased this week.”

You should be able to explain:

What changed, why it likely happened, what evidence supports the conclusion and what action should be taken next.

You will be expected to:

  • Proactively identify performance issues.
  • Bring recommendations rather than waiting for instructions.
  • Challenge agency recommendations when appropriate.
  • Understand the financial impact of decisions.
  • Consider budget and expected return before recommending new activity.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects from analysis through implementation and reporting.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 3+ years experience in performance marketing or digital marketing.
  • Experience with Meta Ads.
  • Good understanding of Google Ads.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce performance metrics.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Experience working with external agencies is desirable.
  • Strong commercial understanding.

Desirable

  • Shopify experience.
  • GA4 experience.
  • Experience in beauty, fragrance, fashion or retail.
  • Experience working across multiple markets.
  • Experience with Triple Whale or similar analytics platforms.
  • Understanding of attribution and customer acquisition economics.
