Job Description
The Operations Control Room Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing all control room activities to ensure seamless 24/7 operational continuity, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with HSE, quality, and contractual requirements. The role plays a key part in monitoring operational performance, coordinating field activities, managing incidents, and ensuring effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead control room personnel, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, performance standards, and service requirements.
- Monitor and coordinate vehicle dispatch, manpower allocation, and attendance management through ICSP systems.
- Track real-time field operations, fleet movements, and service delivery performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage driver schedules, including working hours, rest periods, and annual leave, ensuring compliance with labour and safety regulations.
- Coordinate emergency response activities, ensuring timely escalation, communication, and effective incident management.
- Ensure accurate collection, validation, and reporting of operational data, including photographic evidence and supporting documentation.
- Monitor compliance with HSE standards through incident reporting, risk identification, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure service quality by monitoring performance against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Manage Vehicle Check Reports (VCR), ensuring proper documentation, review, and follow-up on required actions.
- Coordinate with fleet and maintenance teams to ensure vehicle readiness and report any technical, safety, or compliance concerns.
- Verify the validity and availability of operational permits, licenses, and approvals required for service continuity.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records, documentation, and system integrity.
- Prepare operational reports and provide insights on performance trends, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in control room operations, fleet monitoring, and field service coordination.
- Good understanding of dispatching systems, GPS tracking, and operational monitoring platforms (ICSP or similar systems).
- Strong knowledge of workforce planning, manpower allocation, and shift management.
- Ability to manage emergency situations and coordinate incident response effectively.
- Strong reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HSE practices, incident reporting, and risk management.
- Ability to monitor KPIs, SLAs, and contractual service requirements.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams, drivers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and operational reporting tools.
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in control room operations, fleet operations, logistics, waste management, or similar service industries.
- Proven experience supervising operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with fleet tracking systems, dispatch systems, and operational management platforms.
- Knowledge of UAE labour regulations, HSE standards, and operational compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing drivers, field teams, and large-scale service operations is preferred.
