Quality Control Officer (Meat Processing Unit)
Job Description
The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring that all Farm Fresh products meet GMG’s quality and safety standards through consistent monitoring and adherence to established protocols. With a focus on maintaining product integrity, the incumbent will work closely with the Quality Assurance Supervisor to implement quality control processes, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for performing regular quality checks on incoming raw materials and final products, identifying any inconsistencies or non-conformities.
The role involves implementing quality control testing methods and using SAP ERP to maintain accurate records of quality data and batch reports.
The incumbent conducts audits, tests, and inspections, ensuring all products meet GMG’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
In case of non-compliance, the incumbent initiates corrective actions, coordinates with the production team to adjust processes, and prevents recurrence.
The incumbent supports the Quality Assurance Supervisor by preparing daily and monthly quality reports, conducting root cause analyses, and assisting in the development of continuous improvement strategies.
Additionally, the incumbent coordinates with suppliers to ensure they meet GMG’s quality standards, regularly updating them on requirements and best practices.
The role also includes ensuring proper use of safety equipment in quality control procedures and actively participating in training initiatives.
Competencies
The incumbent brings a strong understanding of quality control processes and food safety regulations to ensure product integrity at every stage.
Proficiency in SAP ERP is essential for maintaining accurate records and generating comprehensive quality reports.
Excellent analytical skills enable the incumbent to conduct root cause analysis effectively, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
The incumbent demonstrates strong attention to detail and thoroughness in inspections, ensuring compliance with GMG and regulatory standards.
