To provide excellent customer service and handle financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. By performing these duties, the cashier helps to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the financial integrity of the service center.
Strategic
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Calculating and processing payments for goods and services using cash, credit cards, or checks accurately is the responsibility of the cashier. To guarantee the accuracy of the financial records, any discrepancies in the transaction must be promptly resolved.
- Keeping financial records up to date: The cashier is in charge of keeping thorough records of all transactions and daily cash balances. This includes making sure that all records are current and well-organized, as well as reconciling cash and credit card transactions at the end of each day.
- In order to ensure that all financial transactions are secure and accurately recorded, the cashier must adhere to proper cash handling procedures. This entails keeping a safe cash drawer, ensuring the legitimacy of the currency (including coins and bills), and making sure that all records are safely stored and guarded.
Operational
- Calculating the cost of services, parts, and accessories for customers.
- Processing payments for purchases and services using cash, credit cards, or checks.
- Reconciling cash and credit card transactions at the end of each day.
- Maintaining accurate records of transactions and daily cash balances.
- Answering customer inquiries about pricing and services offered.
- Following proper cash handling procedures and maintaining a secure cash drawer.
People Management

Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required for a cashier position.
- Strong math and computer skills.
Knowledge & Skill
- Must have knowledge of financial transactions, including handling cash, credit card, and check payments. They should understand proper cash handling procedures, how to process refunds or returns, and how to maintain accurate financial records.
- Must be able to perform basic math calculation and computer skills, such as Microdoft Office or other related finance programs.
Experience
- 3-5 years of similar experience.
