Sales Executive – Modern Trade | FMCG Distribution | Dubai
We are seeking a results-driven and relationship-oriented Sales Executive – Modern Trade to manage and grow sales within key modern retail chains. This role is responsible for executing sales plans, supporting key accounts, driving in-store performance, and ensuring strong collaboration with retail buyers and store operations teams.
The ideal candidate has solid experience in modern trade FMCG sales, understands retail systems and promo cycles, and can balance commercial targets with strong execution on the ground.Key Responsibilities:Account & Sales Management
- Manage assigned modern trade retail accounts and store clusters.
- Drive achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Execute agreed sales plans and distribution targets across SKUs.
- Monitor sell-in and sell-out performance by account.
- Identify opportunities to grow range, shelf space, and order volume.
Retailer & Buyer Coordination
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with:
- retail buyers
- category managers
- store managers
- Support Key Account Managers in buyer meetings and reviews.
- Follow up on listing status, orders, and promo approvals.
- Coordinate with retailers on product launches and range expansions.
Promotions & Trade Execution
- Execute promotional plans and retail campaigns across assigned accounts.
- Coordinate promo orders and ensure correct stock allocation.
- Work with Trade Marketing and Listings teams on:
- promo submissions
- display agreements
- campaign execution
- Monitor promo performance and store-level execution.
In-Store Execution & Merchandising Support
- Conduct regular store visits and retail audits.
- Ensure proper merchandising standards and display execution.
- Coordinate with merchandisers to improve:
- shelf visibility
- stock availability
- secondary displays
- Identify and fix execution gaps quickly.
Order & Stock Coordination
- Monitor stock levels and replenishment patterns.
- Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams on order fulfillment.
- Prevent out-of-stock situations through proactive planning.
- Track promo stock readiness and distribution.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Prepare regular sales and account performance reports.
- Track competitor pricing, promotions, and new launches.
- Share market feedback and store insights with management.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, orders, and issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–6 years experience in FMCG modern trade sales.
- Experience handling major retail chains in UAE preferred.
- Strong understanding of modern trade operations and promo cycles.
- Good negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong numerical and reporting ability.
- Proficient in Excel and sales reporting tools.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
