Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Salesforce Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery, governance, and operational health of the Salesforce platform across local and international instances. This role will manage an internal team and a medium-sized offshore delivery team, ensuring high-quality execution, technical discipline, and strong alignment with business priorities.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining Salesforce as a scalable, stable, and well-governed platform. The role will partner closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners to convert business requirements into sustainable solutions, while ensuring that platform changes are delivered in line with architecture, quality, and support standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Salesforce delivery across enhancements, projects, releases, and production support, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Manage an internal Salesforce team and a medium-sized offshore delivery team, including planning, task allocation, quality oversight, and delivery tracking.
  • Act as the primary interface between business teams and delivery teams for solution discussions and issue resolution.
  • Own the Salesforce delivery roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders, balancing strategic initiatives, BAU changes, and support requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to Salesforce coding standards, design principles, development best practices, and release governance across all workstreams.
  • Oversee code reviews, solution reviews, test quality, deployment readiness, and post-release stabilization to improve overall delivery quality.
  • Establish and enforce governance for change control, environment management, release planning, technical documentation, and solution approvals.
  • Own the overall health of the Salesforce application, including platform stability, performance, scalability, security alignment, and maintainability.
  • Drive proactive monitoring and continuous improvement to reduce technical debt and strengthen long-term platform resilience.
  • Ensure Salesforce remains fit for scale across local and international instances, with appropriate controls for reusable design, configuration consistency, and supportability.
  • Coordinate with architects, developers, administrators, QA teams, integration teams, and business users to deliver effective and supportable solutions.
  • Support root-cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents, ensuring sustainable corrective actions are implemented.
  • Provide / review effort estimates, delivery plans, and status reporting for Salesforce initiatives and enhancement cycles.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of accountability, engineering quality, and continuous learning within the Salesforce team.

Required Skills & Expertise

Salesforce Expertise

  • Strong hands-on and managerial experience with the Salesforce platform in enterprise environments.
  • Good understanding of Salesforce administration, configuration, customization, and environment management.
  • Experience with Salesforce development capabilities including Apex, Lightning components or Lightning Web Components, Flows, and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce release management, deployment practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Ability to guide teams on scalable solution design, platform optimization, and long-term maintainability.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of CRM processes, business workflows, and stakeholder-driven solution delivery.
  • Experience managing distributed teams, including offshore delivery oversight and vendor coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of coding standards, QA controls, and best practices for Salesforce solution delivery.
  • Ability to balance functional requirements, technical constraints, and platform sustainability in decision-making.
  • Experience with production support, incident management, and platform health monitoring.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination skills.

• Salesforce Certified Application Architect

• Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA)

• Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II

• Salesforce Certified Data Architecture & Management Designer

• Salesforce Certified Sharing & Visibility Designer

Experience

  • 12-15+ years of overall IT / CRM experience, with significant Salesforce delivery experience in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience leading Salesforce implementation and enhancement deliveries end to end.
  • Prior experience managing internal teams and offshore development or support teams.
  • Experience establishing governance, enforcing standards, and improving delivery quality in a Salesforce landscape.
  • Exposure to multi-instant, multi-country, or international Salesforce setups is strongly preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage but not mandatory
