Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Ain. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including preparing journal entries, reconciling bank and ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The role includes processing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring expense reports, and supporting payroll and invoice management to ensure timely and precise financial transactions. The Staff Accountant will assist in preparing financial statements and management reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and help ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards. The role involves close collaboration with operations and management teams, responding to financial queries, and contributing to process improvements within the finance function.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, including general ledger management, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking in a corporate or multi-location environment.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
  • Experience in healthcare, retail, or facilities management sectors is beneficial, as is familiarity with UAE financial regulations and practices.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and commitment to continuous improvement in accounting processes.
