Job Description
The Accounts Executive – Payroll Processing is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll execution for the organization. The role manages end-to-end payroll activities, including data validation, attendance and overtime reconciliation, salary computation, statutory deductions, and payroll reporting. The position works closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain payroll accuracy, resolve employee queries, and support audits
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing accurately and within defined timelines.
- Reconcile attendance, overtime, commissions, incentives, and other variable pay elements with HR and Operations teams.
- Prepare and support audit requirements for internal, statutory, and external audits.
- Coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement, WPS file generation, and bank uploads.
- Review payroll simulation reports to detect discrepancies prior to finalization.
- Prepare payment files, statutory reports, and schedules required by regulatory authorities.
- Ensure all payroll documents are securely maintained and archived, including acknowledgements, & payroll approvals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding salary, deductions, leave balances, or reimbursement queries.
- Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve payroll system functionality.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and streamline payroll workflows.
- Process final settlements for employees exiting the organization including final pay, EOSB, leave encashment and recovery of dues.
- Liaise with HR Operations to validate overtime, shift patterns, and store manpower data.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in payroll administration.
- Proficiency with payroll software (preferably Dynamics 365) and accounting principles.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
