Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dubai. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling accounts. The role includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations, as well as support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation. The position also involves analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and collaborating with other teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems such as Zoho, Tally etc) and advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Understanding of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA inter) are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in a corporate or group-level accounting environment, ideally within a multinational or diversified business, is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dubai and adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
