Job Overview:
The Accounting Consultant will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations and ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely reporting. This position should ossess a strong technical accounting background, experience in international or large-scale organizations, and bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
This role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, cross-border business setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation, accruals, and journal entries.Review and sign-off on complex advisory reports, tax assessments, entity structuring, and due diligence reports.
- Business Development & Market Expansion
- Handle invoices, payments, and receipts; ensure proper documentation and authorization.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with clients on outstanding payments.
- Support treasury functions and cash flow forecasting.
- Tax & Compliance
- Support corporate tax, VAT filings, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant government authorities as required.
- Internal Controls & Financial Analysis
- Implement and maintain internal accounting controls and financial procedures.
- Conduct variance analysis, expense tracking, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Cross-Functional & Multilingual Communication
- Collaborate with Chinese-speaking management, clients, and partners to ensure smooth financial coordination.
- Translate or interpret financial documents and communication as needed (Chinese–English).
- Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,or related field.
- Professional Certifications: Mandatory – CA / CPA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 years of professional accounting experience (can be both internship or full-time, UAE experience preferred).
- Prior experience in Big Four firms or large multinational corporations is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of UAE accounting standards, VAT, and corporate tax.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or Oracle).
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Fluency in English and working proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) are mandatory.
