Job Description

RIT Dubai is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for an adjunct position of Art History to teach undergraduate elective courses accessible to students across various disciplines, and with a focus on providing the foundations for Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, BFA, and strengthening artistic perspective electives which serve students from all departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and culturally sensitive instruction in Art History, with a focus on courses such as ARTH-135 (General Art History: Ancient to Medieval), ARTH-136 (General Art History: Medieval to Renaissance), ARTH-368, and ARTH-369 (20th Century Art), Islamic Art and Architecture, and related.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years teaching experience at university level and/or substantial experience in museums, galleries curation, etc.

Master’s degree in Art, Art History or closely related field is required. An MFA or Ph.D. in Art History are preferred.  

Can be currently working in other universities or in cultural industries.
