Assistant Accountant

Job Description

Job Purpose:

Assist in day-to-day account activities to ensure smooth financial operations while maintaining good relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and internal departments. Handle invoices, receipts, payment records, and maintain accurate account files and documentation. Support accounts payable and receivable activities, petty cash handling, and payment follow-ups. Coordinate with vendors and finance teams regarding account matters and prepare reports using MS Excel.

Functional Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining daily financial transactions and accounting records
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and petty cash management
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records
  • Prepare basic financial reports and update accounting spreadsheets
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding payments and invoices
  • Assist in data entry and updating accounting systems and supporting accounts department

Skills and Experience:

  • Fresh Graduate or minimum years of experience in a data entry and administrative task
  • Well communicated in English
  • Basic knowledge with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Email)
  • Available to join immediately
