Assistant / Associate Professor – Pharmacology (With Medical Degree)
Key Requirements:
- MBBS degree with a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Medical Pharmacology.
- Strong record of research publications in indexed journals.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Medical Pharmacology, including principles of drug action, therapeutics, and rational prescribing, to undergraduate medical students within an integrated, competency based curriculum.
- Designing and delivering innovative teaching methods such as case-based learning, prescription writing sessions, and simulation-based pharmacology training, along with appropriate assessment strategies.
- Supervising and mentoring students in academic projects, pharmacology-related research, and scholarly activities, fostering critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
- Conducting scholarly research in pharmacology, with emphasis on drug discovery, pharmacogenomics, clinical pharmacology, or related areas, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
- Contributing actively to curriculum development, accreditation processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the College of Medicine.
- Participating in departmental, college, and university service activities, supporting the overall academic mission of the institution.
