We’re Hiring – Associate Coder (Inpatient)

Fatorah is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Associate Coder – Inpatient to join our growing team in Sharjah.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze inpatient medical records and claims for coding accuracy and completeness.
Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT-4/USCLS, and other relevant codes in accordance with coding guidelines.
Ensure compliance with payer requirements, billing regulations, and coding standards.
Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers to clarify documentation when required.
Support claim submission, resubmission, and revenue cycle processes.
Identify coding and billing issues and escalate them when necessary.
Maintain high coding quality, productivity, and turnaround time standards.
Stay updated with coding regulations, payer policies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
✔ Valid coding certification from AAPC (COC, CPC, CIC) or AHIMA (CCS, CCS-P, CCA) accepted by DHA/MOH.
✔ Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in medical coding and insurance claims processing.
✔ Strong knowledge of inpatient coding, medical terminology, and insurance billing guidelines.
✔ Experience with EHR systems and coding software.
✔ DRG/FFS coding experience is mandatory.
