Job Description

Role Description The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the studio’s risk management framework across operations, finance, and strategic initiatives. The CRO will identify, assess, and monitor enterprise-level risks, including credit and market risks that may affect business continuity and financial stability. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, developing risk policies and procedures, reviewing contracts and financial arrangements for risk exposure, and preparing regular risk reports for leadership. The role involves collaborating with management to design mitigation strategies, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and support informed decision-making through data-driven analysis. The CRO will also provide guidance on risk implications of new projects, partnerships, and investments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Risk Management, including framework design and implementation.
• Strong background in Credit Risk Management, with experience evaluating counterparties and exposure limits.
• Knowledge of Market Risk concepts and practices, particularly in relation to financial and operational volatility.
• Solid understanding of Finance and financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow review.
• Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights.
• Experience in a senior risk role within financial services, consulting, or relevant industries is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Relevant academic background in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are a plus.
