Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
An Education Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing educational programs, training initiatives, and learning activities within an organization or academic institution. They collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, students, and stakeholders to ensure effective learning experiences, maintain educational standards, and support continuous professional development. The Education Coordinator plays a key role in curriculum development, program evaluation, learner support, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and coordinate education and training programs for clinical/non clinical staff.
- Assess learning and competency needs and identify training requirements.
- Plan and facilitate continuing nursing education (CNE) activities, workshops, and in-service training sessions.
- Ensure the staff maintain required competencies, certifications, and mandatory training compliance.
- Coordinate clinical skills training, simulation exercises, and competency assessments.
- Collaborate with Nursing Leadership to support staff development and professional growth initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and recommend improvements.
- Support evidence-based practice initiatives and promote quality improvement through education.
- Assist employees in achieving professional development goals, specialty certifications, and career advancement.
- Maintain accurate records of staff training, competencies, certifications, and educational activities.
- Participate in policy and procedure development and educate staff on updates and best practices.
- Coordinate student placements, internships, preceptorship, and mentorship programs.
- Serve as a resource person for clinical education, nursing standards, and professional practice.
- Ensure educational activities comply with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct educational audits and track learning outcomes to support patient safety and quality care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver interdisciplinary education programs.
- Prepare reports, training statistics, and educational performance metrics for Nursing Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in any related field.
