EEG Technician

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

EEG technician work closely with, and under the supervision of the Neurologists and  perform EEG & EMG tests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Needs to produce high quality EEG & NCS tracings and be able to detect and eliminate artifacts.
2. Cleans the electrodes and machine and stores them properly.
3. Maintains apparatus, making minor adjustments when faults occur.
4. Needs to know special techniques, i.e., special leads, portable machines, protocol for testing children and special medical conditions.
5. Maintains stock of paper, electrodes, etc.
6. Takes care of proper storage of all apparatus.
7. Keeps log book record of EEG & EMG’s.
8. Performs miscellaneous related duties as requested.
   GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:       
9. QUALIFICATIONS
10. 5.1    A certificate/diploma holder in EEG & EMG.
11. 5.2    At least two (2) years of   experience.
12. 5.3    Current licensure in country of origin as well as DOH license to practice in Abu 
13.                         Dhabi, UAE.
14. 5.4    Fluent in spoken & written English, Arabic language is desirable, but not essential.
