English Lecturer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor – English to deliver exceptional teaching, foster student development, contribute to curriculum design, and support research and accreditation activities in line with CAA (UAE) and international academic standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures and seminars in English language and literature at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Develop, review, and enhance curricula, assessments, and learning resources to align with learning outcomes and accreditation requirements.
• Mentor and support students academically, providing constructive feedback, guidance in research, academic writing, and language development.
• Identify and assist at-risk students through targeted academic improvement plans.
• Contribute to CAA accreditation, quality assurance processes, audits, and maintain required academic documentation.
• Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and supervise student research projects.
• Actively participate in academic committees, faculty development initiatives, and institutional activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• PhD in English, English Literature, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated research and publication record.
• Familiarity with CAA (UAE) or other international accreditation frameworks is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.
