Role Description The English Teacher role is a full-time, or part-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The English Teacher will plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons for small groups and individual students, aligned with exam preparation and tutoring objectives. Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans and learning materials, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching methods to diverse learning needs. The role involves preparing students for standardised tests and school exams, maintaining accurate records of performance, and communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues. The English Teacher will also participate in curriculum discussions, contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practices, and uphold Sage’s standards of academic excellence and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Strong instructional skills in English Teaching and Teaching, with a solid foundation in Education principles.
• Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning, including designing structured, engaging, and exam-focused lessons.
• Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues clearly and professionally.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certifications (e.g., PGCE, CELTA, TESOL) are an advantage.
• Experience teaching English to middle and/or high school students, preferably in exam preparation or tutoring environments.
• Ability to teach SAT, IB, A- levels
• Ability to differentiate instruction for varied proficiency levels and learning styles, and to manage small group and one-to-one sessions effectively.
• Comfort working in a multicultural setting and familiarity with international curricula or university entrance exam requirements are beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills, reliability, and a commitment to helping students achieve measurable academic progress.
