Overview
Al Ain American School is seeking a dedicated and experienced English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English language instruction, support students with diverse learning needs through differentiated teaching strategies and collaborate closely with colleagues to enhance student achievement.
This role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that enables all students to succeed academically and develop strong communication and literacy skills.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject with a teaching qualification.
• Valid and certified UAE teaching license
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an English Teacher.
• IELTS score of 7 or above for non-native English speakers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective pedagogical practice, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage students and foster a positive learning experience.
• Plan and deliver lessons that take full account of students’ individual learning needs, learning styles, preferences, and abilities.
• Deliver a broad range of learning opportunities and activities that enrich and enhance the taught curriculum.
• Motivate and inspire students to achieve outcomes beyond their expectations and prior attainment levels.
• Make effective use of ICT and educational technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for students of all ages and ability levels.
• Observe, assess, and accurately record students’ progress in line with school policies and assessment frameworks.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff during all school activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to establish and maintain fair, consistent, and positive behavior management across classrooms, the wider school, and during school trips.
• Communicate openly, professionally, and regularly with parents regarding students’ progress and attainment.
