About you:

We are seeking an exceptional and inspirational Head of Faculty – Mathematics Faculty to lead our department and drive excellence across all key stages. This is a teaching & middle leadership role, and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active teaching commitment, including the ability to deliver A Level Mathematics to a high standard.

We are looking for certain qualities:

• The candidate should be dynamic, enthusiastic, and well-qualified, holding at minimum a B.Ed. or a B.A. with a PGCE in Mathematics along with QTS.
• Have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning, including experience teaching A Level Mathematics with strong student outcomes.
• Demonstrate the ability to balance strategic leadership with an active teaching timetable, modelling outstanding classroom practice.
• Provide clear strategic direction for the mathematics faculty, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and achievement across all phases.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Maths teachers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and accountable culture
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the sharing of best practice and innovation within the department.
• Embody a growth mindset, being reflective, adaptable, and solution focused.
• Be creative, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking, with the ability to inspire both students and staff.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, building strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
• Use data and assessment effectively to inform decision-making, raise attainment, and improve student progress.
• Have the ambition to contribute to a world-class school environment, with a clear commitment to professional growth.
• Passionate about providing enriched learning opportunities for children in and out of the classroom.
