Role Description The Head of Inclusion is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for leading and embedding inclusive practices across the school. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring the school’s inclusion policies, ensuring that all learners, including those with additional needs, receive appropriate support and access to the curriculum. The Head of Inclusion will work closely with teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies to design and review individualized support plans, interventions, and enrichment opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and training staff on inclusive strategies, analyzing student data to identify barriers to learning, and coordinating targeted programs that promote equality, diversity, and wellbeing. The role also requires active participation in leadership meetings, contribution to whole-school improvement planning, and clear communication with caregivers to foster a strong, supportive home–school partnership.
Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Diversity & Inclusion and Equality & Diversity, with a proven ability to design and implement inclusive policies and practices.
  • Demonstrated Program Management experience, including planning, delivering, and evaluating inclusion or student support initiatives.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Experience in Employee Engagement, particularly in supporting, mentoring, and training staff to build an inclusive culture.
  • Recognized teaching qualification and relevant degree in Education, Special Educational Needs, Inclusion, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience in school-based inclusion or special educational needs leadership, preferably in a primary setting.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive pedagogies, assessment for learning, and intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
  • Ability to use data and evidence to inform decision-making, track progress, and report on outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to working within a diverse, international school community.
