Your new role, what’s involved?

  • Conceptualization and Visualization:
    • Lead the conceptualization of water feature designs, considering the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and integration with the overall project.
    • Utilize design software, hand sketches, and other tools to visually communicate design concepts to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Middle East market.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, landscape designers, and engineers, to integrate water features seamlessly into project plans.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of design concepts with project objectives.
  • Innovation and Trends:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design concepts related to water features.
    • Integrate sustainable and eco-friendly design principles into water feature concepts.
  • Team Management:
    • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of water feature designers.
    • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages the development of unique and groundbreaking designs.
  • Design Documentation:
    • Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for water features.
    • Ensure that design documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and adheres to project timelines.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Act as a primary point of contact for clients during the design phase.
    • Present design concepts, gather feedback, and make adjustments to meet client expectations.
  • Quality Control:
    • Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that water feature designs meet the highest standards of excellence.
    • Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of industry experience. Experience in a leadership role with P&L responsibility preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing water features in various settings, such as parks, commercial spaces, or residential developments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling, visualization (Rhino etc.), and graphic software; Revit strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of local and environmental and safety regulations related to water features.
  • Knowledge and in depth understanding of BIM best practices and standards contributing to the implementation of BIM best practices in the development of projects from inception to final stages.
  • Compelling design portfolio.
  • Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and project delivery.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and attitude.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate and build teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and remote teams
  • Professional licensure or certification in landscape architecture or civil engineering.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly water feature design principles.
