Role Description The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable and receivable, preparing basic financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role involves coordinating with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations, as well as maintaining organized documentation for audits and internal reviews. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Business Bay, requiring consistent collaboration with the finance and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including journal entries, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage spreadsheets, perform data entry, and generate simple reports.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and respond to internal and external inquiries professionally.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant internships or 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role are an advantage.
- Understanding of or interest in UAE business regulations and corporate services; prior experience in a corporate services or professional services environment is a plus.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and willingness to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
