It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Coder to join our Revenue Cycle Management team at Danat Al Emarat Hospital- Women & Children in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Medical Coder / Coding Supervisor, the Medical Coder will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and validating medical records for accurate coding
  • Assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG codes
  • Ensuring compliance with DOH/DHA guidelines
  • Handling claims submission and revenue cycle tasks
  • Conducting periodic audits to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Querying physicians for clarification when needed

Qualifications

  • Must have Abu Dhabi hospital experience in both inpatient and outpatient medical coding
  • Minimum 2 years’ Abu Dhabi OP and/or IP claims coding experience
  • Coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA)
  • Strong knowledge of DOH/DHA regulations
