Job Description

As a Receptionist at Petsfirst Veterinary Clinic, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors. Your excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor, and organizational abilities will contribute to a positive client experience and the efficient operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone promptly and politely as well as walk-in inquiries
  • Schedule appointments
  • Provide information pertaining to clinic procedures, policies, products, and prices
  • Answer general pet health information questions and refer in depth medical questions to doctor or technicians as appropriate
  • Maintain proper organization of all medical files and associated documents ensuring daily chart review, client/patient call backs, and completion of medical summary by the Veterinarian
  • Handle daily client transactions. Review daily deposits and reconcile cash, checks, and credit card slips with computer generated transactions
  • Register new clients/patients in clinic system as per the clinic policy, and ensure proper documentation and signature on any required consent forms related to patient visits
  • Maintain cleanliness of reception area, entrance way, and client rest room. Enforce clinic policies in reception area
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, clients, and vendors

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a veterinary clinic receptionist (UAE experience will be preferred)
  • Must be fluent in English Language; bilingual (Arabic and English) speaking skills are preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Proficient in using phone systems and computer software, including email and office applications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with animals and interacting with clients
